I do not want to say anything negative about the Hyatt Times Square. There is nothing negative to say, but it still wasn't quite what I had expected. First the good: the rooms are adequately-sized, somewhat spacious for NYC. The decor is fun, kind of danish-modern. The staff is responsive and helpful. BUT, the lobby is more consistent with a Hyatt Place or Hampton Inn then what I expect from flying the Hyatt flag. Similarly, the hallways to the rooms are now and space-efficient like you would expect from a Hyatt Place instead of a Hyatt. While the staff was friendly, having to repeatedly show my room key for elevator access (to the same people) got tiresome. for my purposes, it could have been closer to the Subway (wasn't too far, but walking through Times Square gets tiresome). Great location for almost all Theatres. For lobby, room size and convenience, Hilton Times Square will remain my property of choice. Nothing wrong with the Hyatt, but no on-par with the Hilton property.
