Located just on the southern edge of the Times Square area, the Staybridge is perfectly situated for walking Manhattan from pretty well the southern edge of Central Park to Battery park, if you like walking!
If not, the Subway is just round the corner.
Being located just on the edge of Times Square, it's not as noisy, busy or clogged with people as the Square area.
Staybridge hotels are aimed at people staying several days in one place and who don't want to eat out all the time, so each room is kitted out with a decent kitchenette, with a large fridge/freezer!
The aircon unit is mercifully quiet - just fan noise, no compressor rattle.
The room was clean, tidy and cared-for. Bathroom spotless.
Bed was good - no back aches by the morning.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The complimentary breakfast was fine, if a little functional.
The Wifi was complimentary, fast, more or less uncontended and reliable. When will hotels in the UK wake up to this?!
We won't need to consider anywhere else if we're in NY - it has everything we need at a sensible price.
